The Kingston and Arthur’s Vale Historic Area (KAVHA) is a living heritage site, which means KAVHA continues to contribute to the life, identity and culture of the Norfolk Island community. It is a place of special significance and continues to be used as a place of residence, work, worship and recreation.

To start your journey at KAVHA, you may like to take a guided tour of the historic sites and buildings, or follow one of the many walking trails to discover the beauty and history of the site for yourself.

While you’re there, stop in at the Norfolk Island Museum to experience the history that contributes to Norfolk Island’s unique heritage, or visit the Norfolk Island Research Centre and look into your convict ancestry and family tree.

You can swim, snorkel, paddle or surf in Emily Bay and Slaughter Bay, or simply relax at one of the onsite picnic tables and barbeque areas.

With events happening all year round, be sure to check out what’s on during your visit. There are so many things to do and see at KAVHA, you will want to dive in straight away.
